About Deoraj Asane

I am a robotics engineer mainly focused on developing advanced collaborative electro-mechanical systems for the robots to come. I envision the future of humanity and human creativity being assisted and enriched by AI and robots. In this multidisciplinary field that robotics is, exposing myself to newer fields and gaining knowledge along with my experience in mechanical design are some of the baby steps towards achieving this long-term goal. Additionally, I believe having a broader knowledge of things other than just engineering helps develop a better product. I work at Kawada Technologies to research and develop next-gen robots. My current job profile also allows me to study and propose new markets for the company, new fields of research, etc. Previous research experiences include designing and developing a human-collaborative robot arm to work close to humans, and material sciences. I’ve gained some experience in the control of mobile robots at university seminars and through an internship at Ricoh Co. I have acquired skills like perseverance, teamwork, and team management and cultivated risk-taking ability from leading numerous teams since high school. Extracurricular activities - Participated at Student Formula Japan 2017 as the Team Leader of Savitribai Phule Pune University's Formula SAE team while representing India as the only Indian team in the Internal Combustion division of the tournament. Achieved successful results by clearing the Technical Inspection.
