About Derek A. Cobb

First and foremost, I’m a husband and father of four amazing children who loves cars, sports and fitness. Spending quality time with my family is my favorite thing in the world. When I’m not “Dad” or “Coach”, I'm a success driven Senior Project Manager & Business Partner for a Glass & Glazing Contractor with over 17 years of experience within the industry. I love to see construction projects come together from the beginning stages of planning, drawing and designing to the feeling of accomplishment that comes from seeing the final result. Currently I manage all types of glazing projects and assist my partners in overseeing day to day operations within our company. Daily tasks include but are not limited to, strategic planning for future growth of the company, reviewing architectural plans and specifications, design assist, creating budgets and bids for potential projects, drafting shop drawings, ordering materials, and creating fabrication lists. I'm especially skilled at managing large, time-sensitive glazing projects, and developing strategies that ensure a quality installation and overall customer satisfaction. I possess the ability to build productive and meaningful relationships with contractors, customers and peers. I’m always interested in learning more about new challenging opportunities where I can use my experience to improve quality of service provided to customers and to increase value and overall efficiency within an organization.
