He has broken in and trained racehorses and sport horse from time to time alongside his principal business as a veterinarian. • He divested his business interest in Agnes Banks Equine Clinic in December 2015, and continues to consult there on a part-time basis, while branching out into a consultancy business, Derek Major Consulting Pty Ltd.
