Psychological Residency and employment as Staff Psychologist at St. Louis City Family Court - Juvenile Division and private practice located in St. Louis County. Upon earning position with National Health Service Corp (NHSC) as a provider at a Health Provider Shortage Area (HPSA) qualified site in 2006, accepted Lead Psychologist position at Miami Correctional Facility in Indiana through Correctional Medical Services (aka Corizon). Job responsibilities included direct service and developing mental health department to include hiring and managing administrative and clinical staff while collaborating with medical and correctional staff. Accomplishments include developing and monitoring group clinical programming, site-level operational procedures to comply with both corporate and accreditation standards, continuous quality improvement (CQI) criteria, utilization management of clinical services and psychotropic medication, and served as the State's only EHR Behavioral Health Expert Superuser. Further served as only site-level behavioral health professional to mentor other Lead Psychologists and consult with state-level executive DOC staff and DOJ subject matter experts regarding compliance with behavioral health improvements at juvenile facilities. While starting NHSC position in 2006, also opened part-time private practice that was expanded into a multi-disciplinary group in 2013 after leaving corrections in 2011.
