About Derek Biggers

A graduate of Miami University of Ohio, I spent much of my time studying different cultures and languages and the way those cultures interact. I focused on the sociology of social problems, as well as intercultural relations. Linguistically, my efforts are applied to Spanish and Mandarin. After college, I completed an internship at the Walt Disney World resort and then accepted a position with an operating participant. This gave me an opportunity to travel to China and practice my translation and leadership skills. I am a creative thinker that is constantly seeking new opportunity and academic stimulation. I enjoy problem solving and refining solutions to provide and accomplish the smoothest, most efficient outcome. My undying passion for learning and expanding my abilities has led me to enrolling in Springboards Software Engineering track. driven by results, I have learned and expanded on the basics very quickly, developing a strong foundation in coding and logic. While entirely open minded, my goal and aspiration is to participate in creating programs that will help one of the following industries: automotive, scuba diving, or productivity and workflow for individuals with neurodivergencies. While away from the desk, I enjoy building hot rods, designing unique light fixtures, restoring antiques, and creative writing.
