About Derek Dash

With over a decade of experience in political campaigning, news media, advertising technology, and political communications, I focus on helping campaigns develop their message from articulation, to paid media, and live events. Recently, I worked to help Gov. Jared Polis win re-election as and then plan his corresponding inauguration. Prior to that, I obtained my M.A. in Media and Public Communication with a Certificate in Public Diplomacy which helped me be successful in that role. Before graduate school, I was a Strategic Account Manager with a demonstrated history of managing cross-media, cross-device, digital, print, full episode player (FEP)/over the top (OTT), and out-of-home (OOH) campaigns for political and brand clients. I was responsible for training, overseeing, and approving client deliverables created by a team of two media planners and an ad ops specialist. I have experience with WideOrbit, SalesForce, TradeDesk forecasting, Intergral Ad Science (IAS), and setting up private programmatic guaranteed deals (PMP). My prior political experience included communications, political operations, constituent relations, event planning, and procurement for a U.S. President, U.S. Senator, and Governor. With two internships for national and local broadcast news stations, I also have experience with news production, video editing, and copy writing. I received my B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2013.
