About Derek Dufault

I work as a Senior Marketing Cloud Developer at Cloud For Good. I graduated with a B.C.Sc.(Hons.) from the University of Manitoba in May of 2021, where I specialized in networks and security, artificial intelligence, and databases. I started my career in the Salesforce ecosystem as a Developer in Salesforce Marketing Cloud right after graduation. Ever since then I’ve enjoyed the journey of learning to be the best consultant I can, and providing as much value to my team, and my clients as possible. I’ve had the opportunity to work along side some amazing people in my career, and on some very unique SFMC projects. In these projects I learnt to push the boundaries of what’s possible in marketing cloud using custom AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, native internal API calls to endpoints such as Content Builder API / Journey Builder API, and to external systems as well. Aside from work and academics, my life has revolved around football. I played football with the University of Manitoba Bison's for five years. Throughout my career, I was able to become a 5 Time Academic All-Canadian, 1 time All-Canadian, and Russ Jackson award nominee. In 2019 I was drafted into the Canadian Football League by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 58th overall, where I spent 2 years.
