My name is Derek Garner and I am currently a recently graduated mechanical engineering student from the University of Missouri, Columbia. I am searching for a Mechanical Engineering position. I would like to begin my career with a company where I will be able to continue to learn as well as use the skills I have developed during my years at Mizzou. As a mechanical engineer I am proficient in three-dimensional modeling and design using Solid Works and Inventor. I was fortunate to have been able to use these skills during my internships with Gardner Denver doing reciprocating design work. I am looking forward to the opportunity to apply my knowledge, build my current skills and add new skills within a company environment. I am a very detail-oriented person who has exceptional problem-solving skills. My willingness and drive to learn make me an excellent employee. I also believe quality, efficiency and timeliness are extremely important components when completing a task. I believe I could make a positive contribution in your company.
