About Derek Gianfresco

During my 20+ yr journey I’ve served in many roles. I started in marketing, product development and as an analyst in the finance industry then operated my own business as a catering chef, digital marketer and now as a UX/UI Designer. What I’ve learned along has taught me how to listen and empathize with people, understand their business goals and deliver solutions that meet their needs. As a UX/UI designer, I’m naturally inquisitive and ask a lot of questions to understand why, why, why, why, why :) I love to solve problems using human-centered approaches and create products that are usable, enjoyable and accessible, ultimately making people’s lives better. I’ve taken projects and managed them from end to end starting with understanding users and their needs, creative problem solving and design execution to working in an agile environment with devs in the final handoff.
