Hi! I am a Data Scientist experienced in developing ML algorithms at production-scale for product development. I contribute across the entire machine learning product development lifecycle from research to deployment and optimization. I develop and maintain ML algorithms in Go running at production-scale including Reinforcement Learning (Bayesian contextual bandits), Supervised Learning (automated customer-facing ML model builder using Gradient Boosting Machines, Random Forests, and Logistic Regression models), and Unsupervised Learning (hierarchical mixture models, content recommendations, dimensionality reduction, clustering, Kullback-Leiber Divergence).My skills include- Technical skills: Python, Go, R, SQL- Model deployment and engineering infrastructure (RESTful APIs, Docker, Elasticsearch, GCP + AWS suites, Flask + Django, Spark + Hadoop)- Building automated data pipelines for stakeholders- Front-end experience using React-Typescript and D3 to create data visualizations and web applications- Basketball analytics experience through assisting players, agents, fans, and presenting to front officesI received my Master’s degree in Data Science from Northeastern University. Here I gained a strong foundation in Machine Learning research capped off by a thesis project developing state-of-the-art Computer Vision algorithms such as pose estimation, object detection, density based clustering, and homography to extract estimated tracking data from NBA broadcast videos.
