About Derek Hughes

I've worked in three industries since graduating from college in 2003. I like to follow my inspiration and feel passionate about the work I do. I've been involved with film and video in a multitude of manners, from feature length documentaries to abstract multimedia installations. I formed eatonmedia.net to encompass my film and video work. Education is another field I am enthusiastic about. I have taught students of all ages around the world, from a university in Oaxaca, Mexico to online in China to classrooms in the United States. I've blended those two interests together, incorporating digital media into my classes. In combining those fields, I launched Light Bulb Booth (lightbulbbooth.com) with my wife, an LLC committed to developing instructional multimedia tools. I continue to challenge myself and grow with every project I pursue.
