About Derek Jans

With over three decades of experience in the US Navy, I am a seasoned and versatile Logistics Human Resource, Quality Assurance, Operations and Training & Manpower Manager, overseeing the recruitment, training, and retention of personnel for various aviation and military operations. I have an active secret security clearance and a bachelor's degree in Aviation and Operations Management Airport Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. As a human resource and manpower manager, I leverage my skills in program management, project planning, operations management, and logistics management to ensure the optimal performance and productivity of the workforce. I also implement and monitor safety and quality assurance standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. Additionally, I have extensive experience as an aviation maintenance officer and officer in charge, leading and supervising teams, managing budgets and resources, and coordinating maintenance and logistics activities. I am passionate about serving my country and advancing the mission and vision of the US Navy.
