About Derek Jones

In December of 2018 I earned a degree in Computer Information Systems, from Eastern Michigan University. The CIS degree has offered me a strong business background, as well as a hands on skills in computer programming, security, data analytics, ERP systems and networking. I enjoy dabbling in programs such as Java/JavaScript, Access, SAP with little experience in C#. My personal favorite programming is Android application. Building Android applications from scratch and running them successfully. I also have a background with Microsoft office, as well as database systems like SQL, and Access. Most recently I have been learning more about ERP systems, and working with SAP specifically and found enjoyment out of the SAP system. I take pride in utilizing my knowledge obtained in the Computer Information Systems degree to integrate databases into functional information systems in the business setting. I also have an associate degree from Henry Ford in Radiology, and I am a Certified Radiologic Technologist. I am currently employed by Trinity Health, at St. Joesph Mercy Hospital, where I have worked as a Radiologic Technologist since 8/2016. I also have an associate degree from Oakland Community College in Liberal Arts. I love taking away the experiences that come along with education. I enjoy the challenges that come along with the goals and standards I set for myself, and seek ways to accomplish those goals set in my everyday life, whether it's school, work, or something I enjoy such as working out, hockey, mountain biking, or fishing. I strive to be the best that I know I can be.
