About Derek Jones

Helping people sort out their problems as quickly and cost effectively as possible I am a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner dealing with all contested aspects of both personal and corporate insolvency, a Fellow of R3, a Fellow of the International Bar Association, a Solicitor Advocate (Civil Courts), a Mediator and Dispute Resolution Specialist - particularly in the field of Health and Social Care Commissioning, Safeguarding and Regulation As one of the 200 or so Licensed Insolvency Practitioner Solicitors in the UK, a qualification which I have held since 1989, I am also well placed to assist Providers in negotiation with their funders and other stakeholders when cashflow difficulties arise One of less than 100 worldwide I am a Fellow of the International Bar Association and also the holder of Higher Rights of Audience in the Civil Courts of England and Wales up to and including The Supreme Court I hold the NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Mental Health Awareness, an Edexcel Level 2 Award in Dementia Care, a BTEC Level 3 Award in Working with Medication, Level 3 Certificates in Mental Health Nursing, Stroke Awareness and the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, a Level 4 Award in Advanced Health and Social Care, a Level 3 Mental Health Support Worker Award, undertaken the Understanding Dementia MOOC under the auspices of the University of Tasmania with the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre, earned a Level 3 Award in Caring and Support for the Elderly, a Level 3 Award in Support & Care for Individuals with Learning Difficulties, a Level 3 Award in Dementia Care Awareness and both Level 3 and Level 4 Awards in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy In September 2018 I was awarded a Higher Distinction in a Health and Social Care Management Level 5 Course Head of our Thames Valley Office from August 2014 to April 2018 All views are my own
