About Derek Li

I love working and succeeding with people. I am always happy to see my associates and teammates grow in both a professional and personal manner. I believe the biggest success comes with growing and strengthening my team. Since I left school, I have devoted my career to the manufacturing industry. I have worked in metal stamping, plastic injection, semiconductors and small home appliance fields which gives me a broader insight into manufacturing. The most exciting part of my career was not only achieving the sales target, but bringing together the different teams such as engineering, quality, PMC, purchasing and operations, and achieving the goals together. One of the milestones in my career was when I led the teams to set up a production facility in Thailand within 6 months. I am also a very outgoing person and can easily build up very close and warm connections with my customers. I always work with different function teams from our customers, such as engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering and of course the supply chain. I strive to be more than just a sales person. Aside from my career, I used to be a Taekwondo athlete and now I’m a Taekwondo coach for a university team. Taekwondo has always been a very important part of my life as it has contributed in making me who I am today. It trained me to be a man who can withstand pressure, treat every human being with the utmost respect and to never give up. I don’t let myself live in a comfort zone and I’m always looking for improvements in both a professional and personal capacity. My specialties are being outgoing and sales driven, being a great team player and having strong interpersonal skills.
