About Derek Logan

With over 20 years of experience in learning and development, I am currently the Portfolio Lead for Global Compliance and Technology Training at Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm. I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching, a Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University, and an Insights Discovery Client Practitioner certification. My mission is to enhance the performance and potential of individuals and teams through innovative and impactful learning interventions that align with the business strategy and objectives. I have successfully designed, developed, and delivered engaging and effective learning solutions for various audiences and business needs, using a variety of modalities and platforms. I have strong project management and leadership skills that enable me to manage multiple course projects from inception to implementation, collaborate with various business channels and stakeholders, and coach and mentor staff and trainers. I also have excellent communication and presentation skills that allow me to create targeted business objectives, deliver live and virtual classroom training that focuses on all learning types, and measure and evaluate the learning outcomes and impact.
