Welcome to my LinkedIn profile! The ways in which we benefit from an active, healthy lifestyle are endless. I have chosen the field of education in order to share my passion for physical activity with my students. A large part of my effort lies within guiding them in the discovery of activities which they can enjoy, benefit from, and learn from for a lifetime. Whether positive health behaviors lead to improved physical, social, or intellectual and academic outcomes, our youth deserve the opportunity to reap those rewards; it is my responsibility to provide them with the knowledge, skills, and experiences to do so. I am fortunate to be able to teach and learn from the students of Plainview-Old Bethpage C.S.D. as a Physical & Health Education teacher and athletics coach. In preparation for my current position, I attained my Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (K-12) from the State University of New York at Cortland; an exceptional program for Physical Education instruction. I then completed the required coursework for my Masters in Health Education (K-12), also at Cortland. In my fieldwork, I became aware of the learning needs of many students I was working with and desired to expand my abilities toward accommodating for students with disabilities. With that, I also acquired a concentration in Adapted Physical Education; specializing in the modification and differentiation of activities for students with disabilities. I am currently certified to teach Physical Education (K-12) and Health Education (K-12) in New York. If interested in speaking with me, feel free to reach out.
