About Derek McCord

Since childhood, I’ve always been intrigued with the advancement and progression of things from its infancy to its fully developed state. From solving simple math problems in grade school to deriving complex equations as a college student or seeing construction projects develop over time, I’ve come to appreciate development as a whole and see its impact in every facets of life. With experience as a Product Development Engineer, I was privileged to have a hand in the development of product from the quoting stage to mass production. Working for an automotive supplier allowed me to adapt to and thrive in a large-scaled, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment. I’ve been commended by many of my peers and superiors for being reliable, organized, standardized, respectful to others and collaborative. I consider myself an avid learner who finds opportunities to learn new and useful skills to not only grow as a professional but to also develop as a person.
