About Derek Moss

With over five years of experience in the music industry, I have developed a diverse skill set in music marketing, Spotify playlist pitching, and social media strategy. As the Senior Spotify Team Lead at YouGrow Promo, one of my primary responsibilities is managing social media ad campaigns to promote a large network of playlists. Additionally, I oversee Spotify promotional campaigns for artists through playlist pitching, collaborating with curators to drive streams and increase visibility. Beyond my professional roles, I write and produce music under both my own name and the alias "DMoss," achieving significant streaming milestones independently and through a record label release. I also cofounded a successful branded house music series in New York City, where I handled event organization and talent bookings. My goal is to continuously leverage my marketing skills and industry knowledge to support artists in building their brands and reaching new audiences.
