21 years offshore experience in various different roles. Worked with the same company since first starting offshore - just the names have changed due to mergers and takeovers. Experience on semi-subs, jack ups and platforms. From 2014 to 2018 I was part of a small team involved with rig recycling. We prepare cold stacked rigs for unmanned ocean tows and usually had to reactivate major equipment like emergency generators, main engines, ballast systems and cranes. We also replaced tow bridles and set up emergency towing arrangements for unmanned vessels. Back in drilling operations now in Malaysia but must admit I enjoyed the 4 years on the recycling team.
