Welcome to my profile! My name is Derek and I am a web developer with experience working with both front-end and back-end technologies. Some technologies I'm familiar with include Javascript, Node.js, Express, React+Redux, Redis, and GraphQL. I'm always interested in expanding my knowledge in different areas of technology. Recently I gave a tech talk on IoT as part of a speaker series sponsored by Jeeny & Bractlet. I am passionate about creating beautiful and user-friendly web applications that meet the needs of my clients. Most recently helped build Obsidian, Deno’s first native GraphQL caching client and server module. Obsidian is equipped with lightning-fast normalized caching to support scalable, highly performant SSR React applications.
