About Derek Pickering

Over 30 years of professional software engineering where I have been an individual contributor, team member and leader. My roles included Software Engineer, Architect, Mentor, Team Leader and Agile Scrum Master. I have an extensive background in architecting and implementing real-time, fault tolerant software systems. I am versed in numerous software development methodologies and technologies such as Agile, Waterfall, ISO, 6-Sigma, DevOps and Continuous Integration. I have a strong understanding of project management, team collaboration, stakeholder goal prioritization, and marketplace expectations. During my career, I have gained a broad professional tool set for development, architecting and implementing all facets of software from initial concept to finished product.
