About Derek Rees

I have earned an adult education diploma as well as two Trade qualifications, Red Seal Refrigeration and Red Seal Gasfitter (A). I have a Passion for the HVAC and Refrigeration trade actively participating in the industry and on multiple trade committees. This helps me to continue my growth and leadership skill by taking an active role in the development of the industry locally and with my current employer by supporting the industry in Western Canada. Over the years I have learned many skills and worked with many interesting people. I take pride in maintaining and nurturing strong customer relations. I have also found that I really enjoyed training and teaching apprentices and sharing skills that I have learned from my peers and through work experience. I truly enjoy taking on new challenges and pushing myself out of my comfort zone to help develop other people and their skills while adding to my own. The HVAC industry is large, and I enjoy growing my knowledge to support the people who help advance the technology that will help shape the future of how we live.
