About Derek Richardson

A seasoned leader across national corporate operations, complex change programmes and governing boards, I command extensive experience working with and within private, public and not-for-profit organisations as an adviser and influencer. Utilising a superb commercial acumen, I identify opportunities for improvements to revenue or robustness while motivating and coordinating stakeholders at all levels of seniority, including in the boardroom, to align them to common strategies so that visions can be realised. Following a successful senior career with BT and Openreach, latterly as a change programme director, I have developed a portfolio of non-executive and governing board positions. Worked as senior delivery manager helping buld the North team for City Fibre in 2020/21, I am currently employed as a consultant to Map Group (UK) since assisiting them with various contracts and in various different businesses. I am currently open to opportunities to further develop board advisory experience, and I am excellently positioned to drive up engagement and motivation of people to ensure optimal profitability.
