About Derek Tullock

I consider myself a driven and effective leader who is always striving to better myself and those around me. Overseeing, and later owning, retail stores has allowed me to grow in many areas of business- People Management: I'm always an employee's first employer. Empathy goes a long way. This has allowed me to be able to adapt to many types of employee situations allowing me to adjust training/coaching with individual needs- Project Management: Ensuring tasks and projects stay on track. Creating and documenting processes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency- Human Resources: From recruiting and onboarding/terminating employees to processing payroll/taxes and building an employee handbook and implementing new policies- Business Development: Working alongside other businesses and fellow owners to train, pilot new programs and spearhead new initiatives- Marketing, CRO & E-Commerce: I've gained experience working with marketing automation platforms and building shop pages using various platforms. The biggest thing I've learned from owning a business is how to adapt. Being ahead of change and finding ways to make change work in my favor is a strength I've developed through the years. A little extra fluff: Won multiple awards with my years with CPR for my work with training and onboarding stores along with branding. Cowabunga!
