About Derek Tully

Military professional with 12 years of experience working with and training others in fire finder radar operations. Extensive knowledge of employment, planning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of radar equipment. Proven ability to adapt to new surroundings, foster positive work environments, and build new relationships. The radar operator's role is to provide early warning and detection of enemy direct and indirect fires. I have spent the past twelve years learning about and understanding the importance that sensors play in a combat environment and the force protection they can provide. I am currently serving as the Senior Targeting Non-Commissioned Officer and Master Driver Manager at the 10th Mountain (LI) DIVARTY. My past positions include Fire Finder Radar Operator, Senior Radar Operator (Radar Team Chief), Radar Section Chief, Army Recruiter, and Target Acquisition Platoon Sergeant. I am looking for different opportunities outside of the Army that relate to my experience in the Army. I appreciate the value of the equipment I work with and would like to continue to learn about and help develop the future for my field-Active secret security clearance -Experience with AN/TPQ-36, AN/TPQ-50, AN/TPQ-53 radar systems.
