About Derek Wiberg

As a classroom teacher or informal educator, I am dynamic and driven to student understanding. Continuously looking to improve my impact on students through personal education and professional collaboration. I've repeatedly & successfully taken my expanding experience into formal and informal classrooms. As my Tandem, online, real-time software developer roles have consistently required a 24/7 responsibility for the development, migration, maintenance, and enhancements to banking (ATM, Credit Card Authorizations) and Healthcare applications. I've done what's needed, when it's needed. These combined experiences have helped me develop a unique blend of problem solving skills; a scientifically analytical approach to a broad spectrum of issues and situations. I have a very clear understanding of the difference between Science and Engineering and how each has merits and shortcomings based on contextual applications. Wit, humor, a broad knowledge base, and a willingness to acknowledge other points of view have proven to be integral in being both a significant team player and a team leader.
