About Derick Cooper

Defending and protecting corporations and businesses from civil lawsuits arising out of catastrophic injuries and serious accidents is the cornerstone of my legal practice. My litigation expertise is comprised of the defense of catastrophic tort, premises liability, product liability and transportation liability claims. I have represented national corporations in high stakes cases involving millions of dollars of liability exposure and smaller, family run businesses requiring creative techniques for resolving litigation disputes. My approach is to be ready and willing to take any case to trial, and I have taken multiple jury trials to verdict. This aggressive stance puts opposing counsel on notice and often results in favorable resolution without the necessity of trial. While I am a member of the state Bars of Georgia and Florida, I have a national practice and have defended lawsuits throughout the United States. In my spare time, I enjoy pulling for the Georgia Bulldogs and spending time with my wife, children, and Labrador retriever.
