About Derick Joe

Derick Joe is an award winning cinematographer and editor who graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film. Having worked in film and video production since his work spans across many genres including documentaries, television, commercial, and feature films. He has received a National Association of Broadcasters award and won six Telly awards for his work corporate communication video for Keller Williams Realty. He was the editor for the Strasbourg International Film Festival award winning feature “Forward/Backward” and Director of Photography for features "The Mignogna Chronicles" and "Last Month's Rent".Derick Joe combines his love for editing and cinematography to create visually interesting story driven films. He believes that great story telling always takes precedence over technology, but that technology can enhance story telling. With an eye for detail and a passion for filmmaking, Derick Joe continues to create, show, and tell great stories.
