About Deron Patrick Wilson

I have earned the respect of my colleagues through my relentless commitment to Fire Service leadership. I have worked my way through the ranks of the fire service to serve as Fire Chief in Coweta County, Georgia. My work experience includes experience in fire department field operations, training and professional development, technical rescue and support services. I pride myself in my strong background in program development, management, while serving as a leader. Personal involvement is crucial to professional success. I currently serve as a member of the Executive Board for the Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs as the Immediate Past President. I have also served other fire service organizations such as the Georgia Association of Fire Chiefs, Siuth Carolina Firefighters, Metro Atlanta Association of Fire Chiefs (Past President), International Association of Fire Chiefs and the Georgia State Firefighters Association. I continue to serve as an adjunct instructor for the Georgia Fire Academy, where I have developed and taught a variety of programs. I believe that my dedication to TEAM is my greatest atribute and I do this by continuing to learn and grow as a LEADER. I have been extremely fortunate through-out my career. I am thankful for the opportunity to Lead in the Fire Service. I believe that life is what you put into it and If you are motivated and active in your involvements your rewards will be great!
