About Derrick Moore

Standard PC Jack of all trades that began back in 2002. With several years of experience in the public sector starting in 2004, I have a lot of experience with end users, various equipment, and servers. I have steadily increased my knowledge from a standard hardware technician up to a Windows System Administrator and helped to implement two Microsoft Networks working with Active Directory and Group Policies. Due to budget constraints and low funding I have always attempted to find the least expensive way to keep equipment working efficiently and suggest replacement when they are no longer cost effective to maintain. I have helped lock down systems using the Least Privilege Access method while keeping all software/hardware workable for users. With my electronics and electrical engineering I have kept abreast of most electronic trends while utilizing the skills learned to keep a safe, productive, and working environment by replacing components, equipment, and/or products in key locations while researching to stay OSHA compliant at the best cost possible. I have also utilized my skills to help other areas that few in the IT field would consider such as CNC machines, board design, component lookup and replacement, etc.
