About Derrick Rose

I am committed to helping my community achieve its highest potential. I have worked for several organizations whose purpose was to create a better living condition for its citizens including the homeless population, county jail inmates, and students. I believe that the skills and experiences I have gained in all my positions has made me an ideal candidate for my next career and all these duties required meticulous writing and verbal skills, and an ability to convey ideas clearly. • I have successfully worked with students to provide them guidance with their degree selections, educational loans, and financial aid and grant options. • I created and managed the case management component of a drug treatment program for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department. • I was certified as an instructor for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques from the Crisis Prevention Institute; a safe management program for disruptive and assaultive behavior for children for an organization's staff members. I was responsible for certifying each staff member at all levels of the organization.
