About Derrick van-Way

I am a recent graduate from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Art in Music & Anthropology. My main focus of music lies in percussion performance, concentrating on solo and chamber music. During my music studies I have also organized events and recitals, and collaborated with other musicians and administration to to hold solo and group performances. My passion of anthropology comes with the fascination of human behavior, and assessing the "why?" and "how?" of different cultures. I hope to find a career or position after graduation that allows me to use the skills I have learned in my time here at CMU. The ultimate goal is to highlight the hard skills anthropologists develop in their studies and make social science a more accessible tool kit.
