Retired from Partnership at Grant Thornton, now working part-time as CFO at CanadaHelps, the leading charity in its field, which processed more than $480M in donations in fiscal 2020. Public accountant for more than 40 years, during the last 20 with a dedicated focus of providing audit and advisory services to not-for-profit organizations - associations, clubs, health care entities, schools, and especially charities and Christian organizations. Work I loved! In addition to audit and general advice, it has been my privilege to apply my specialty skills in technology and consulting to assist not-for-profit organizations to be more effective and successful. CA.IT: Information Technology Specialist designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. This specialization recognized advanced skills in information technology strategy and its implementation. CMC: Certified Management Consultant. Qualified with the Institute of Management Consultants of Ontario. A significant component of my practice is providing management consulting services related to governance, strategy and operations process in addition to technology.
