I have started my journey to become a DevOps Engineer with Level Up In Tech. I am currently a Help Desk Technician, Tier II at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center with SPN Solutions, Inc. And prior to this position I was a SharePoint System Administrator within the Department of Commerce in the Office of Chief Counsel. Other positions included an Executive Assistant at The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where I supported the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response, in the Division of Physical and Cyber Security Policy. I love solving problems. It keeps my mind going and always thinking outside the box. I try to come up with more than one way to a resolution. I go the extra mile in all I do. It is very satisfying to be able to solve technical problems. My end users are hospital staff who are usually annoyed because their work has been interrupted by technical issues. Their problems frequently consist of not having a network account, getting stuck in an update, not being able to do anything on the device, cannot login, or they cannot VPN. These issues cause frustration, but I am able to get to the root cause by asking the right questions including what error did you get? The answer leads me to a couple of quick resolutions. I remote into a device and fix the problem or walk the end user through connecting their VPN when they not on post. This is a very fulfilling position and I enjoy what I do. I am best known for being bubbly and nice to everyone. The military and civilian staff have sent numerous commendations to my director, and I am known around base for being able to get the job done no matter what. I love to smile at people to invite a smile back, you never know how that smile could change someone’s day. I always try to look at the positive instead of the negative in all situations. My motto is “life is what you make it.” So, GO and make the best out of life and always strive to be your best. But remember to go for your heart’s desire and dreams. I have a B.S. degree in Information Technology with a concentration in Systems Security and an A.A.S. degree in Paralegal Studies. My security clearance level is Secret and I also have a Security + certification from CompTIA.
