About Desilee Valeri

I am a Library Media Specialist at Sunnyslope Elementary in Wenatchee School District and have rediscovered a love of reading; alongside my students. I have always been passionate about teaching and leading students toward rigorous learning opportunities and have had a variety of experiences to get me where I am at. My experiences range from teaching HS Math, Third, Fifth and Sixth Grade Math and Science, and I had the wonderful opportunity to lead, support, and coach staff with the goal of continuous improvement in curriculum, engagement, and all things Teaching. It was a great and rewarding challenge, but it has been fun to be back with sweet Kindergarten through Fifth grade students! Anyone who knows me knows that I am an avid adventurer! I love to hike, backpack, rock climb, pursue Jesus, bike, garden, ski, ride horses, homestead our mountain home, juggle all our animals, and find joy in everyday experiences. I adore my husband and 3 young kiddos, and get to do all these fun hobbies together! I love a great challenge, am competitive and driven, and also love to encourage, connect, and build others up as they navigate this beautiful life.
