Developer | Empathy | Positivity | Relator | Strategic From the age of 10, I knew that my career path would include writing and communications. My 4th grade teacher helped spark a creative light in my mind that can't be burnt out. When I graduated from my small town, Minnesota high school, I followed my interests and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing from Southwest Minnesota State University. I graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors in 3 years. While I started my career as a journalist, it was my strong empathy strength drove me into the nonprofit field. Throughout the past 5 years, I have used my strengths and career skills to achieve the following-Be awarded over $1 million in grant funding -Increase funds raised at Cookies, Corks & Brews - Sioux Falls by over 30% in one year -Increase attendance at Cookies, Corks & Brews - Sioux Falls by over 20% in one year -Build positive relationships between staff and business/organization through actions and experiences -Help create a strong company culture with regular staff appreciation practices Please reach out to learn more about my proven experience within fundraising, writing, running events, stewarding, and communications.
