Throughout my professional work-life I've worn a variety of hats."Small Business Cheerleader" is a title gifted to me by those I've had the pleasure to work alongside. My goal is to write narratives and create epic online platforms for small businesses or grassroots organizations. By optimizing their own words and storytelling through their brand, we can lay the foundation for finding their audience with a curated online presence and authentic voice. Cheerful project collaborations, witty and resourceful ideas, and a we’re-in-this-together mindset have been common threads throughout my professional career and I look forward to bringing these skills to your business, too. My previous work experience in the non-profit realm and as an entrepreneur and wedding planner provides a flexible platform to empower and serve the Path to College team by engaging in continued collaboration with new and established partners. The mission of Path to College is to enrich the academic growth and increase the competitiveness of high-achieving, low-income students in their admissions to college. Addressing the inequities in education by recognizing that equitable intellect is not the problem is at the root of my adoration for this organization. This is good work and I'm so proud to do it. By generating community awareness and developing prospective mentoring career coaches, I help manage the sustained growth of our mentoring program which includes recruitment, screening, training on evidence-based best practices, data collection and assessments, maintaining communication and fostering each mentor-student match relationship. I take a lead role in planning all public or private fundraisers and special events while also managing relationships with local partners. In addition, I represent Path to College at community and corporate events, develop materials necessary to promote new and annual programming, and maintain communications via social media, digital advertising, and newsletter marketing.
