About Desislava Smilyanova

Working in a team of people contributing to health and willingness towards success out of the impossible is my view for an empowering career life. I believe my calling is to be a healthcare professional that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs with the perspective of delivering well-being. Hi, my name is Desislava and I graduated as a Master of pharmacy in 2018. When I was at high school I joined the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross for 2 years as an event organizer for healthcare awareness and a fundraiser for children in a need of life-saving procedures. That is when I realized how alive and unstoppable I become when it comes to delivering fulfillment and compassion for people. Combining my love for life sciences and human beings, I took the journey of becoming a pharmacist. My background includes 9 months as an intern at the Formulation and Drug Delivery technologies department at university and 2 years as a community pharmacist. During the final years of my education, management and regulatory affairs were main studies which helped me develop further as a specialist. Having all the accumulated knowledge, I established 3 main goals for my career path: client/patient satisfaction, developing trust and business growth. For 1 year as a retail pharmacist me and my team managed to increase the store's annual income by 42%.
