About Destiny Smith

I am a young professional, with a business mindset, motivated by my passion for helping children. I'd like to think this comes from the six simple words that were instilled in me as a child "Be a leader, not a follower". I am a leader. My experience, skills, and training involves shaping the leaders of our future. Working in child care has been a passion of mine, from babysitting children of families and friends at a young age, to working in early childhood classrooms throughout college, and moving up to becoming a child care facility administrator at the age of 22. When I set out to obtain my Bachelor's in Speech and Hearing Sciences I knew I wanted children to be my primary focus group, helping those will no voice learn to effectively communicate was my goal. Although that is still my long term goal, I've since shifted my focus to more of a business mindset. I enjoy the administration role and bring positive and effective communication strategies to the table. I am currently seeking a position in which I can continue to be a leader as well as use my knowledge, skills, and training to be a strong and valuable asset within any company, program, or organization that is looking for someone to take on such a role.
