With over two decades of cross-sector experience in academia, government, and industry, I bring a deep commitment to advancing skilled trades training and workforce development. My career has focused on designing and leading innovative technical education programs that align with evolving regulatory frameworks and industry expectations. From curriculum design to stakeholder collaboration, I have consistently driven excellence in apprenticeship education and skilled trades development. At George Brown College, I currently serve as Associate Dean of the School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades, where I provide strategic oversight for academic programs and faculty management. I have successfully led the development of curriculum and innovative teaching methodologies that significantly impact student achievement, equity, and well-being. By integrating rigorous in-school education with real-world applications and maintaining strong industry connections, I ensure our programs prepare students with the practical skills needed for professional success. I am committed to fostering collaborative relationships across educational sectors and steering initiatives that align with provincial goals to increase graduation rates and improve workforce transitions. I am eager to contribute my extensive experience, passion and knowledge for the skilled trades system across Canada and Ontario with the next wave of Skilled Trades workers. My leadership is defined by data-informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and a relentless focus on student success. Previously, at the Ontario College of Trades, I led provincial and federal initiatives for Red Seal trade programs, overseeing standards development, certification frameworks, and national exam design. I also collaborated extensively with industry experts and trade boards to ensure program relevance and quality. My efforts resulted in the successful launch of new trade examinations and training models that continue to influence the skilled trades ecosystem. My professional approach is grounded in integrity, innovation, and impact. I thrive in environments that require systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and visionary leadership. With an MBA from Queen’s Smith School of Business and a Red Seal endorsement as a Tool & Die Maker, I combine academic expertise with practical experience to transform technical education in Canada.
