About Dev K. Dutta

I am an Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship at the Peter T Paul College of Business and Economics, University of New Hampshire USA. Previously, I held additional responsibilities as Faculty Fellow and Director, University Minor in Entrepreneurship. I am also a design thinking expert (with certifications from both MIT and Stanford), a USASBE Teaching & Learning Scholar, a Sprintbase certified coach on virtual design thinking applications, an Innovator Mindset educator and consultant, and a Global Mentor at Ideagist, the world's largest virtual incubator/accelerator. I completed my PhD in Business Administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University Canada. My additional doctoral and/or post-doctoral training have been at the Case Western Reserve University, Oregon State University, Syracuse University, Texas A&M University, University of Texas at Austin, University of Michigan, Harvard University, MIT Sloan School, Stanford University, and York University Canada. Before moving to academia, I worked for fifteen years in corporate entrepreneurship and strategic management practice at leading multinationals from India. In my academic work, I teach and research at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship. My current research projects relate to digital transformation, technology entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and the use of design thinking as an organizational capability. I have published over 40 papers in leading peer-reviewed academic journals in my field. I have also co-edited two books on seminal research in entrepreneurship scholarship. I sit on the editorial boards of Transactions in Engineering Management and the Journal of Small Business & Entrepreneurship and am an Associate Editor with the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship. I regularly present my research at major national and international conferences. Many of my papers have won best paper awards. In 2019, I was recognized as Outstanding Global Researcher by the worldwide Academy for Global Business Advancement. I am a Certified Design Thinking Educator and Coach (MIT and Stanford), Certified Executive Coach for Sprintbase remote collaboration platform, a Lean Launchpad Educator and a certified executive coach and consultant for the Entrepreneurial Mindset Profile (EMP), the Innovator Mindset (IM), the Basadur Applied Creativity Profile, and Technology Entrepreneurship.
