Core Responsibilities- Buyer Vendor on boarding or Supplier on boarding (gathering documents and data needed to set up a company as an approved vendor and create a workflow to onboard the vendor into the system) Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes from RFQ (Request for quote) to vendor payments and new projects and activities. Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods. Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules. Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets. Prepare reports and updates as and when required. Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues. Work closely with Accounts payable team to review and resolve the invoice issues which are on hold and make sure that supplier receives the payment on time. Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures.
