About Devaarne Muller
I am a radical, queer, Feminist & Futurist visual and performance artist working under the name PUSSI POLITICA. I focus on gender, politics and black identity in South Africa. I believe that South Africa needs deep healing from the trauma of colonisation and Apartheid and I explore this through my art. I am self taught and have been working in the industry for the last 2 years. I use digital media, digital illustration as well as oil and acrylic and pencil on canvas & mixed media. I have experience with social media campaigns & marketing as well as creating digital content specifically for social justice movements in Cape Town. I am also a yoga instructor, having completed my 200 hour training. This ties in with my desire to add healing to my community as I share my skill with my peers in activist spaces.
