About Devan Fitzpatrick
I am a Civil Engineer working in Alaska on river restoration and fish passage projects. My focus is on water resources engineering. I complete in-house design projects in addition to reviewing AOP designs across the state of Alaska and providing technical assistance to partners. I have experience working on fish passage culverts, bank stabilization, river restoration projects and large wood design. I am proficient with using ArcPro, Civil3D, HEC-RAS, SMS/SRH-2D and Microsoft Office projects to complete designs. I graduated with my M.S. degree in Environmental Engineering in June of 2020 from the University of Georgia. My research interests focused on the intersection between engineering, ecology and society. I am interested in river restoration, wetland restoration, mine reclamation and nature based infrastructure projects.
