Born in a country soon to be shaken by revolt and upheaval, I learned the importance of my environment early, learned to observe and listen. Cast to the borders and the twilight young, I developed a hunger for knowledge, for understanding the humans around me. It led me to the hallowed halls of academia, where I toiled for a decade, perfecting the dark art of psychology. And yet, it never was enough. So with robes flaring, I embraced the siren call of self-knowledge and joined my voice to the cries for equality. As the years went by, I again found myself wandering between worlds. Having lived and breathed academia and non-profit work my path led to tech and startups. The challenges might be different but the contribution I bring remains the same. No matter which field I am in, I delight in being able to see the big picture and tell the stories people need to hear for them to gain power over their own lives. I live not fully in one world but am betwixt and between, synthesizing empathy and science together in a potent mix.
