About Devangi Thakkar

I am passionate about crafting and narrating stories through empathy and authenticity. I believe in engaging communities and connecting supporters with causes that matter, to deliver meaningful conversations and results for our beneficiaries. I believe, donor centricity is not about the overgeneralised trope of the donor, but it is about the person who gives and unravelling the reason behind their giving behaviour – a parent, a grandparent, an environmentalist, a survivor, a humanitarian, or someone deeply connected to another person that may have had lived experience. When we pay more attention to the person who gives to our organisation, we gain a view of what community our supporters and donors have formed, and how powerful can they be in taking our mission to the next level. I strive to research and implement donor-centric communication journeys and curate better supporter experiences across omni-channel touch points aligned with best practice fundraising strategies to build long-term supporter relationships.
