About Devansh Modi

I am a commerce graduate from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata currently working at Barclays and having previously worked at State Street in the capacity of a risk analyst, pursuing CFA and FRM Charter alongside. I was a senior committee member of the Placement Cell, SXC having put my best foot forward to ensure smooth and successful campus placements. I am also the founding board member of the Xavier’s Finance Community, first of its kind in Eastern India, inculcating the awareness about financial literacy. I have enjoyed participating in various business simulations, exposing myself to public speaking and instantaneous brainstorming. As an Investment Banking intern at Sumedha Fiscal Services, I mostly focused on Fundraise for early stage startups (raising their first round of institutional capital) and Mergers & Acquisitions. With regards to co-curricular spectrum, I am a sports enthusiast and enjoy playing Cricket, Basketball and Badminton, having represented my high school in various competitions for the same. The ulterior motive is to explore the field of finance, gaining a simpler understanding everyday, and to keep improving the learning curve.
