About Devdhi Kasana
My lifelong goal has been to increase diversity of identity and thought in each new space I enter. As an immigrant woman of color pursuing a career in intellectual property law, I hope to advocate for inventors from underrepresented backgrounds and empower inventors to support and advance their communities through their inventions. I increased racial and ethnic diversity in my sorority chapter by over 20% in my term as VP PR & Recruitment during my undergraduate career, and personally recruited students of a wide variety of backgrounds to attend Illinois Tech to pursue higher education during my time in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I hope to apply my engineering background to IP and patent law and help protect the innovations emerging from historically overlooked populations.In my free time, I love to explore new places (either through travel or through books), dance, and try new restaurants - Chicago's gastronomical scene is hard to beat!
