About Devid Marcantoni

I am graduated at University of Bologna (Informatic, first degree) in July 2006. My final project has been to build an automatic system to convert various presentational flat xml-based languages (such as WordProcessingML, Open Office XML, IML) in hierarchal semantic markup languages (e.g. DocBook for representing technical documentation). This system has been integrated in a large Java application called IsaPress used by Società editrice Il Mulino to manipulate own digital edition of books and articles.In october 2006, at the same time of university courses, i've started to collaborate part-time with development team of Società editrice il Mulino (digital division) for designing and implementing various kind of web-based projects such as digital publishing, e-learning platforms and online journals.From september 2009, after the second level degree, collaboration with the publisher and own software team upgraded to full time.In October 2015, after 13 years in Bologna (first for university studies and then professional reasons) I decided to return to my hometown in the Marche region making a radical change of life. I accepted Cooder's offer (in which I already knew the founders and some employees for non-professional reasons) and I started working in the world of ecommerce developing applications based on Magento first on version 1.9 and then on version 2.Over the years I have participated in the analysis, design and development of a large number of ecommerce projects (clothing, online courses, food, electronics, etc.) with a preference for the integration between different systems and the development of APIs.In the meantime I started the technical lead activity with the training of new resources, the design of ecommerce applications directly with the customer and the drafting of project Gantt.In the last period I also started working in ecommerce projects based on other technologies such as Shopify and BigCommerce.Outside of work, my main passions are sports and travel. I practice different sports such as futsal, padel and running. I also love visiting new places especially if they are not too famous and with unconventional means of transport.
